Hello? Is this thing on?

So. It's been OVER A YEAR since I updated this blog. I'm sure if I had one person reading this they've moved on to bigger and better things.

I mostly can blame it on the fact that I was pregnant most of that time and had another baby. Two kids is awesome but INSANE as far as time flying by. Jellybean is 6 months old now so I'm actually able to sit down for about an hour after the kids are in bed and do stuff.

Namely take a Wilton Fondant and Gum Paste class.

The only fondant I've ever worked with was when I made Ben his Flash cupcakes and my mom's Rolling Stones cake. I've never covered a cake in fondant before so I was scared shitless. I don't know why, it's not really all that scary. It's just like anything else, practice makes perfect.


This is my finished cake from the project. Pretty awesome for a first try, if I do say so myself. I'm hoping to continue and get up the courage to make some more cool cakes and get outside the box a little bit.
